Virtual Logic developed a suite of organiser applications for the platform including scheduler, calculator, and notepad. Furthermore, a configurable forms interface was developed that allowed the customisation of screen entry for various dedicated services such as banking and job allocation and tracking.

Significant design elements included:

• Small memory and processor footprint embedded software development.
• Development of a PC-based hardware-level emulator that allowed the actual device ROMs to be executed on the PC. This not only accelerated development but also aided in debugging.
